HOW OFTEN SHOULD THE INJECTOR FAN RUN?

Hi,

My injector fan almost always runs after I have switched the car off (in
summer 20 deg C +). It measures the temperature on the heat shield at
the back and side of the Intake manifold.

My 200T had a similar problem and it turned out to be the temp. sensor,
the inner started cracking and the contact became intermittent.

If you short the wire to ground, the fan should come on straight away,
and keep running.

The sensor on my car is a brass one with one contact and a lonely wire
coming from the harness running past the back of the tappet cover.

Someone else had some info on it not too long ago. Check a fiche if you
are uncertain.
