They are not just 3 holes............ Audi is the party that drilled the holes
and butchered job. The authorized Audi mechanic drilled for the first hole
and missed the alignment of the threads underneath. So he moved the drill
over about 1/2 inch and tried again. This time he got closer but not close
enough, one more drill moved over about 1/4 inch. Can you imagine what the
hole looks like now ?? This procedure happened with all 3 holes that were
drilled. If they were, and they're far from it, just 3 round holes, I being
the second owner would have to live with it. But this guy butchered the
bumper cover......I cannot even get a plug of somesort to cover the holes due
to the fact that the holes are oblonged and all distorted. To me this is a
design fault. 1. The bumper cover comes w/o any alignment dimples of such to
guaranty a properly drilled hole the first time. 2. Obviously Audi does not
provide a template to guaranty proper holes. 3. Why would Audi allow the
bumper cover to be damaged, beyond repair to mount a front
plate............What about the next owner, what if the first owner moves to a
state that does not have front plates. Is it OK to damage the cover as long
as it's hidden ??. If you have never seen what I'm talking about go to JETS
A4 web sight and look at the damage Audi did on Seans cover............I may
have to live with the holes..............but shame on Audi for allowing this
to happen me and others..............and shame on the engineers/designers for
the stupid design..............And shame on AoA for their disregard for my
concerns.

I'm confused? Your the second owner...you found 3 holes under the front
license plate holder. How is that Audi fault? Maybe the original owner did
that. Should I hold Porsche resposible for the stone chips in the front of my
'82 SC?
If a new car were delivered that way, you bet I'd complain...but a used
car.
