Re: '87 5KTQ door handles and locks. HELP!!!!



I had the same thing on an 82 VW Quantum.  You problem may be
that the child proof latches have been activated (to keep your prisoners
from jumping out at stop signs).  The only way I could figure out to get
the
door open was to destroy the door handle and break it loose from
the bracket inside the door.  This required bolt cutters and precise
hammer
blows.  Once you can get inside the hole in the door, you may be able
to actuate the latch.  This is assuming the door is not locked. 
Otherwise,
you may have to cut through your inner door panel to get to the mechanism
and replace the door panel.
