Well, judging from the reaction of the saleslady (she seemed like she worked
there for at least 15-20 years) at the Audi Gift boutique in Ingolstadt when I
explained I wanted the CQ tie pin because I had a CQ...then mentioned the S4,
she was stunned...then I said I had 3 cars (at the time 2 Audis, 1 Chevy), and
I almost had to grab her before she dropped to the floor...when I enquired
about the posters lying on the floor in the back of the room, she handed me an
armful...
We are a Audi/car-crazy bunch here in the U.S.! Now, she'd probably "flip" if
I mentioned the 2nd S4! I admit it's quite difficult to keep up the
payments...
Her reaction is similar to most Europeans - I'm married to one, and never hear
the last of it...."why do you need more than one car??"
I do agree with the logic, but as I used to be on the road most of the time, I
could justify one as being a backup (which did come in handy now and then),
but now it's gone past that, to more of a collecting phase...albeit, a *very*
expensive one!
Credit is also much more freely available here Stateside, compared with the
EU...I know, I worked in CH... (non-EU, but a Euro-country)...
We (the Q-list members) always preach the gospel of Audi, to whoever we
meet...so they (AofA, Audi-D) should take notice...
