Ken's in AZ
Hey Folks!
I made the move to AZ. I don't have a home account yet, but you can reach
me at this work address in the meantime. (NOTE: "Keith" is my last name!)
It was an experience trailering the 4ksq here from Cali, but it got done,
rain and all. I hope to start some kind of progress on the thing within 6
months.
Meanwhile, my Coupe GT has become my daily driver, out of consideration
for my carless significant other. This requires me to "get on the ball"
with any needed maintenance items.
So, I ordered some Bilstein Sports for my Coupe GT (fronts only, for now).
I've got an appointment with a mechanic on Sat. to try and remove my
tranny fill plug.
My brakes are still incredibly hard to press. It was bad before, but now
that I drive it daily... something needs to be done! I'm thinking of
taking it in and just having it done, whatever it is. Actually, I'm
leaning pretty heavily in that direction due to my garage being occupied
by the "project" (read: non-running) 4kstq.
You know, my brakes are really, really hard to press. Is there a danger
it will get worse? (or my pedal with break off? I've heard of this)
Anyway, just wanted to "stop in" and see how things are going. I'll make
some individual posts to some, when I get my phone hooked up, get an ISP,
and can use my home computer with my address book, etc.
Later,
Ken (ex: kkeith@qnet.com)
p.s. Any comments on the Bilstein's? I'm really excited about getting
them. <tee hee>
p.p.s. Hey, this mechanic guy said something to the effect of, "You're
gonna wish you didn't have an Audi when summer hits." He said "Audi's
can't take the heat (115 + degrees). Is this true? What can I do to
prepare/prevent?
