Come Climb The Crest

Attention Audi owners, on Saturday April 18th we will have a driving event
that can not be missed!  Come put your Audi through its paces climbing the
beautiful and sinuous Angeles Crest Highway.  One of the most exhilarating
enthusiast roads in California, The Crest starts at the base of the San
Gabriel Mountains, winding and climbing through snow-capped vistas and pine
forests to our brunch spot at Newcomb's Ranch.  Newcomb's, a favorite haunt
of car, motorcycle, and skiing enthusiasts, was founded in 1939 and is
located at 6,000 feet in cool Alpine air.  Come drive and talk about Audis,
eat great food in our own private den, and listen to the incessant sound of
Audi radiator fans whirring in unison.

Date:  Saturday, April 18

Meeting Place and Time:  Meet at Lloyd's Restaurant (1004 Foothill Blvd.,
La Canada, 818-790-7616) between 9 and 9:45 am for bench racing, coffee,
and fuel

Depart for Newcomb's Ranch at 10:00am sharp

Cost:  $10 brunch package, Bier aus Deutschland ist "pay per brew"

Directions:  Take either I-5 or 210 Fwy to Hwy 2 North, exit at Foothill
Blvd., turn right, and Lloyd's restaurant is 1 mile down on the right.
This is right at the base of the Angeles Crest Highway.
