OK, lets compare stats

Car RX7 3000GT Spyder (since weight doesnt matter)

Weight 2870 4000lbs+
Power 255 320
Torque 217 320

0-60 5.5 5.8
1/4 mile 14.0, 98.5 14.3, 97.5
top speed 158 155 (limited) coupe, unlimited 159
60-0 123 132
80-0 222 226
slalom 66.4 63.0
skidpad .95 .88 (better than the coupe)

So, what do we see here?
We see the lighter car with alot less power and a hell of alot less
torque outperform the 3000 GT in every single aspect of performance.
EVERY ONE.

Lets also notice the handling. The 3000 GT had 18 inch wheels while the
RX7 has 16. That shows just how far ahead the RX7 is.

Come on, i think that speaks for itself....
