How do you disable the servotronic steering on an S4?

A quick question. Having finally succeeded in convincing the High Command that 
the steering is softer even than she likes (it helped that she sneezed, 
twitched her arm in the process and damn nearly kissed the ditch), I want to 
disable the S4's servotronic steering. I've tried the archives, but while I can 
find several references to how easy it is to disable/re-enable, I haven't seen 
anything as to exactly what to do. Anyone done this and willing to share the 
secret?
