If by "dash" you meaan the dreaded red triangle from the
auto check display, YES!

If the car is parked, and the triangle comes on in less than 
ten pedal pushes, is time to replace it
( or R&R it with a schrader valve??)

If you are talking about the idiot light,  I know the handbrake
will set that on. Offhand, I can't think what else, but I feel that
unequal pressure between the two dual brake circuits may trigger
this as well. This means one circuit has a bad leak...
