The turbo hot side is perhaps the bigest source of underhood heat in a turbo
car.  I doubt you would want it anywhere near the intake or away from the
exhaust.  The 944 does have a cross-flow head with the exhaust on one side and
the the intake on the other, but the turbo is still on the exhaust manifold.  I
guess I could even jump on the BMW worshipping bandwagon and say that they also
have been using this design since the sixties...  Chevy V8's have always had
this design, and even Volvo  wasn't far behind if I remember correctly.  And
please let's not start another infinite thread about who's cylinder heads are
better. Pleeeasee.
