oops, i've just checked my sources (autocar jan 1990), and discover that the
number i was quoting is for the rs2.

the ur-quattro 20v is 55:45 (f:r), not 53:47 (which is the rs2).

normally, this would be taken from dry (kerb) weight which wouldn't of course,
have included fuel (or phil's fiche reader).  so 90 litres of the best, would
bring the weight distribution back some more.  the car does handle better with
more wieght in the back...
