Timing Belt Replacement

I am replacing the timing belt on my '89 200, MC engine, AT.  I need to
remove the harmonic balancer in oder to remove the belt.  The is a tool,
Audi PN 2084, used to hold the balancer while removing the center
retaining nut.  The tool cost ~$90, an expense I would rather avoid, as
well as loose the time waiting for delivery.  Has anyone found an
alternative to hold the crank while removing the nut??  Does anyone have
this tool that they wish to part with??  Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
