Blue headlights - legal?

The legality of light colors on cars varies from state to state.  
I've seen volunteer firemen running all colors of lights in Texas.  
In Washington state, if you even think of putting a blue-colored 
light on a car, the State Patrol will pull you over and start 
writing.  Warnings are not regarded as necessary.
