Could be the control unit, or the pedal switches, too.  Doesn' the
control unit say "Do Not Throw" on it?  COule this be the root of your
problem?  "Throwing" things in your car?  Maybe "Tossing" would work
better...

Oh, BTW, from what I've seen, all the pumps are the same.  I'm probably
wrong, but that does open up your supply range a bit.
