central locking system problem
The central locking system seems to work well in all respects except for
the trunk lock. I've verified that (a) the lock was turned to the proper
"horizontal" position, and (b) the pneumatic linkage to the lock seems to
be activated OK (but fails to operate the lock at all). When this
condition was found to exist for my '89 100, I recall being told that it
was easily fixed by fiddling with some kind of ball-bearing in the
mechanism. But in my '91 200q, I cannot, for the life of me, see what is
causing the linkage to bind. I don't see any ball bearing that can be
fiddled with. Do I need to remove the lock cylinder to fix it? Advice would
be appreciated. Thanks,
