I read this too and frankly although I agree with his (Piech's) impressions,
I must reject his disparaging attitude.

I don't like wood in cars, real or otherwise.  Top speeds "limited" to 85mph
would not impair my driving in the least.  I've never driven the Nurburgring,
and never will.  A car that does well there is almost certain to be undrivably
useless on I-93.  And YES, I want silence because noise tires me.  Toyota
outsells all the Germans combined here (US), and this is why.  (Oh, OK,
they're cheaper too.)
