I bought my car with Eibach springs and had to replace the front struts
with Sachs/Boge inserts. I also have 15x6 Ronal R8's with 205/50 15's.
The ride is firm and the handling is incredible, especially with the
addition of the poly-urethane a-arm bushings. BUT, when I bought the car
at 107K miles the shock towers had stress cracks above the strut bearings
and one side is dented up pretty badly. It needs attention before the
strut shoots through the hood. Pot holes and speed bumps make lots of
noise and don't sound and feel good, which is probably the reason for the
stress cracks. Others have driven the car at Quattro track events and
have been impressed with the handling. Since the car is lowered it looks
better, but it catches snow in the wheel wells really easy.
