RE: Buying 86-up turbo questions
What problems do you see with the quattro system? It is very rare to have
problems with the quattro itself. I have never seen anyone have to replace
rear cv joints or rear diff. It is also very rare to have a bad transmission.
Diff locks can be a problem but a very inexpensive one usually. If anything
the FWD will go through more cv's than the quattro since it is putting more
power through them.
Now if you are talking about trim levels and interior stuff I understand.

Oh yeah, the reason why I'm not looking for a tq is because of a little
more complexity as far as reliability is concerned. It would be nice to
get a quattro, but finding a totally good one with no problems may be
tough. I've been pricing parts for the quattro system and am really turned
off by a lot of the things I see and the problems, as well.
