No Quaker State oil filters
I have recently used the Quaker State oil filters sold at KMart. I was
under the assumption that they may be of high quality despite a cheapie
look inside. I hand tighten my filters after seating and I found that the
case steel was so thin that I actually dented the filter. My opinion is
that if a company scrimps on the metal, they most likely do everywhere
else. It costed the same as the AC PF 56 that I used to use, but the AC is
much sturdier. The case is much thicker and I 've never dented one. I have
dented FRAMS from driving (a rock may have kicked up), but never an AC. It
did have a rubber check valve, though. Be forewarned.
