if it's a peg, it's a rolled pin spring.
this is probably best accessed with a long tool (try a long socket
extension with an appropriately sized hex bit socket) through the tie
rod opening flap in the lf wheel well.  just line it up and drive it out
with a hammer.  this is the way to go with the 44q.  ymmv with the urq.
