Can I jump in and say that radiators ship really badly?  If you buy one
mail order, *insist* that it be packed well (and hope they know what
that means), and have them ship it to you signature required when it
arrives, inspect the box and the hose connections very carefully before
the driver leaves.  I have been shipped these things in a box that
barely holds them and two pieces of newspaper.  I wound up eating most
of the shipping charges for the next one and wasting a lot of time.  

That said, don;t you have a Modine dealer nearby?  I thought they made a
nice all metal one...
