LOL.  For anyone who's joined us since this car was last discussed -
it is at least six different colours and four different textures,
with a list of mechanical faults as long as a gibbon's arm - and
serious signs of having been worked on by one.

Actually, underneath, it seems a very sound and solid MB-engined
ur-quattro in reasonable condition.  If perfect - it would be worth
around what Kirk Lane is asking for it.

But it's _at_least_ GBP3500 away from 'perfect'.

(It has the usual hydraulic tappet rattle.  This seems to worry the
 individual trying to sell the car, and he's offered to pay me to
 swap out the lifters.)
