Yes, the A4q is available with 1.9 110hp TDI motor, the old A6q was
available with both 1.9 110hp TDI and 2.5l I5 143hp TDI. The new A6q is
available with 2.5 V6 TDI and the A8q is going to receive the same engine
soon.
Unfortunately I don't have hands-on experience, but a friend of mine drives
a 1.9 TDI 90hp Passat and says the performance is quite acceptable while he
usually gets about 42mpg on the highway :-)
