Audi Parts.... Why So Expensive....

Hey all,

	My 5 spd tranny is dying in 2nd gear, because of a grinding noise, and my
mechanic told me that my 2nd gear synchro's are bad...  So i call up
1-800-ALL-AUDI thinking that "Hey my uncle just bought an engine for his
'94 100CS for like $2300, so a 5spd tranny "USED" shouldn't be all that
expensive..."  Boy was i wrong... The tranny costs $3,400.... USED????
Whats up with that?  They said a new one would run me $9,000??? Why?????
Anyone have any suggestions on what i should do???  I need to get it fixed
very soon....  My advice from this...  "Never Call 1-800-ALL-AUDI unless
your buying a plastic knob, but even then they'll charge you up the BUTT."
