Nice project, but why bother when Kamei sells a nice custom-made item for
not a lot of money? (about $75, last time I asked). It even has a cool
'Sport' badge.

Might be (like the Kamei) anodised aluminium or some other powder-coated
metal. I don't think it's plastic.
