That's funny, my copy of the Bentley manual says this is the test for the 3B engine, and doesn't appear to have such a test for the MC. Oh so relevant.
What everyone really wanted to know was that tomorrow I will be performing this test on my copy of the 3B, with hood/bonnet closed, as the weather will be more conducive to such testing. Today was nice, 70F and sunny. More of the same, forecast. Great biking weather.

P.S. I would like to acknowledge the intellectual leadership of Chris Miller in the field of paper-clip accelerator pedal cover repairs, I had read his original fixit note before having occasion to effect this repair myself. Was going to put that in last night's writing but I got soo sleeepy....
