Front end damage on an 86 4kQ please advise
Hey all, this weekend i picked up an Oceanic Blue 4kcsQ, and while there
is more damage to that car than on my white 85, it is such a beautiful
color, i have to fix that one.
My concern is that since the engine was pushed back a couple inches,
enough to break the mounts, the tranny was moved back too, and therefore
quattro was affected. As i look underneath the car, laying under the
tranny, with my feet facing the rear of the car, there is first a bend to
the right at the joint at the back of the tranny, and then at the middle
U-joint, there is a bend back to the left that goes into the diff. It
doesnt look liek the driveline was damaged, but i dont want to fix this
car and then find out that the thing cant run. What do you guys think,
does this soundl ike its damaged or did it do what it was designed to do
during a collision...
TIA
later...
