I started using Mobil 1 (5w30)  in 1979 - the day I added to my 78 rabbit, I
gained 200 rpm at idle and about 10% in fuel economy. The day I quit using
it, about 50k miles later, I lost 200 rpm on the idle and 10% in fuel
economy.
