EDL vs ABS systems
I guess I should have been a bit more specific with my request earlier.
Does anyone know if the number of teeth on the wheel bearings has changed
from the early ABS systems (like '86-88 5kCSQ) to the newer cars with EDL?
In comparing the ABS modulators between the two systems, are there
significant differences? It is sounding like the newer cars can handle a
faster pulse rate, but is this a consequence of the modulator or the
controlling computer? It seems to me that there should be some differences,
because the EDL system has to be able to apply/reduce braking forces, while
the ABS system simply has to be able to reduce the braking force applied,
but I thought I'd ask ...
