Tshift happens, it happens in a 44 chassis, so it can happen in an Urq, it's
the limitation of the device, the device is the same. Sorry Phil, YOU"VE told
me dozens of times now it doesn't happen. Darn turns, darn torsen, just
contradicts your selfproclaimed expert testimony. If Chocholek says it can be
fooled, what, oh mighty one who "tells", would it take to make you believe it
happens? Your experience? You don't accept the physics, don't know what a
bite is, and have demonstrated a noble but futile effort at discrediting any
claims that an absolute traction device is only an absolute traction device.
The regard for your expert testimony wanes in favor of the logic you so wisely
proported lacks in your own argument.
>I find the supposed cost justification amusing. Have you compared the

Lots of auxiliaries go to the Gen I that don't go to the Gen II>. By Gen IV,
the center torsen is the only differential that is not open
>How many other manufacturers offer AWD across their product range?
1 that I can think of, and it uses VC. So do a lot of high performance cars,
VC's with all their losses to torsens in traction ability. IF torsen is so
great, why don't more buy into the idea? I argue it can't be that great, cuz
a) it's too dumb, and b) it accepts compromises to chassis dynamics that other
manufacturers find unacceptable.
Phil, you can flat deny all of it, and wave the audi flag at the top of the
pole. Doesn't change the physics of the switch, the compromises audi accepted
in it's design, or the properties of that switch to an audi chassis. Refuting
that means you need to look at your 'logical argument' post of yesterday. You
document your attitude, lack of understanding, and bull headedness right here
on the list, it needs no addressing really. A Torsen Center is not a bad
device, only one with compromises.
Accept them, and move on man.
