Rear tie rod ends--85 Quattro 4000

Greetings from an interloper:

I need rear tie rod ends for an 85 4000q, and have found 
the local foreign autoparts price to be extremely high ~US$75.00/ea

Is there a less expensive way to go?  Any other part nos. that
fit from audi/vw etc?


I'm not currently subscribed to the list, so a direct email reply
