Hello All, This is my first time on the list. I just signed up
yesterday, and I'm probably doing this wrong, But ,The tool for removing
axle shafts is a 12 point metric torx. There are 3 different sizes. the
one for audi would be K. D. tools # 2305.
As for inside tire wear , I don't think it has anything to do with
tire size or width. I have an 84 5000s and a 90 200 turbo, neither is
Quattro. But they both chew tires off on the inside. I tried to get the
0 degrees on the camber. I went as far as to slot the holes in the strut
mounts as far as possible. I still could only get about 3/8 degree
negative.I feel if you could get to 0 degrees you could possibly get
some tire mileage. Maybe a frame shop could pull the unibody a little.I
don't know the answer , but am still actively pursuing the problem!
