everything you will ever need to know about the CQ can be found on the 20V web
site club and mailing list at

The page has details on engine mods, common problems, and a buyer's guide.
There is also an active mailing list you can subsribe to (instuctions on the
web page). With over 100 members, we collectively know everything there is to
know about these cars.
And,several members are looking into the same engine swap you mentioned. I
agree with you, the CQ is one of the best handling Audis on this side of the
ocean, I loved mine, and miss it terribly.
