20-valve "bite"
Since I have an 85 UrQ and have only driven 4kq's and UrQ's "sportingly", I
have no experience with "spider" bites. (Of course, from a strictly
theoretical aspect, I do understand the arguments.)
However, if the continuing discussion (highly entertaining, BTW) is able to
finally prove the absolute unsuitability of Torsens in high performance
applications, then maybe I can pick up an S4/S6 for a ridiculously low price.
(I was very disheartened to find that Torsen UrQ's categorically don't exhibit
the "bite" symptoms as I would much prefer one of those. ;-) )
To further my goal of a cheap S4 in the next few months, I suggest we begin
discussions of the absolute unsuitability of turbocharged 20-valve engines in
high performance applications.
Related threads concerning the undesirability of any other "advances" made
since 1985 would also be helpful. ;-)
