S4 16x8 wheels on a 91 200q?

I'm sure it's been done, but I'm looking for verification.

Has anyone mounted stock S4 5-spoke 16x8 wheels with the standard size tire
(or larger) on a 91 200q(w) without having to modify the wheel well or
liner?

The standard tire size is 225-50-16 right?  

I'm thinking about getting some Borbet Type T wheels and they only come in
16x7.5 according to Tire Rack.  I suppose a half inch isn't much to quibble
over, but I was hoping to get 16x8's.  

What do y'all think?

(looks like living in the southeast is rubbing off on my vocabulary...)
