Re: Recent posts

Dennis,

Thank you for the kind words. I am glad that you've elected to stay with
the list. Yes, some times one topic with the limited appeal to the
majority can drag for months and even an occasional flame war might
loom. Me personally - I just hit the "delete" key.
All of these are more than offset by the incredible pool of tech info
floating on this list. I value the list more than my 3 volume Bentley
and the 7 Audi dealerships in the Greater Philadelphia area. Before I
joined the list in '96 I thought that I knew Audis well (and I more or
less did, having owned an '85 5000s in the past :-). The beauty of this
forum is that here we have a great number of people who know Audis well,
each knowing something that the others don't. It's like everybody knows
everything. I bet for ANY trouble with ANY older Audi at any given
moment you'll find a couple of people who had BTDT in the past and are
eager to offer help.

Scott Justasson is one of the top techno-heads on this list and he not
only has an enormous wealth of technical info but is also always there
to help you with the advice, tech procedure, p/n etc. I am glad you
reconsidered your original intention, Dennis.

I myself am unsubbed from the main list at the present time and receive
a digest version instead due to the catastrophic lack of time.

Good to have you around, Dennis.
Regards,
