Well, Jeff's letter from Audi doesn't list any QTCs imported to the US for
1986.  (See http://www.mindspring.com/~audidudi/AoAltr2.gif )

OTOH, the urquattro FAQ (http://coimbra.ans.net/qlist/ur_quattro.faq.txt)
quotes two sources that state that a single car was improted into the US for
1986 ...
