I tried 215/60/15 tires on the OEM rims (15x6), and it felt downright
dangerous. I ended up taking them off. Yes... too wide a tire on a narrow
rim caused it to be "squirly" (or is that "squirrelly"?).
I have 215/60/15 Comp T/A VR4s on my 15x7 Borbets, and it is a fine combo.
I was thinking of 16 inch rims, but to keep the speedo correct, I would
have had to put on 225/50/16 (like the S4/S6 size), and they would have
stuck outside the fenders (remember, the S4/S6 has flared fenders for a
reason).
The 215/60/15 is the "correct" upgrade size for a 15 inch rim to keep the
rolling diameter closest to 195/65/15.
BTW, I have no issues with rubbing etc. with Eibachs and Bilsteins installed.
(This sig is from my laptop at work.... so, FYI.... this is all relative to
my '92 100S).
Hope that helps.
