Wow!  I don't know if I've ever seen so many q-list controversies in the 
same post!  And, you're even "yelling"! 8^)

My opinions:
I like Mobil 1 synthetic, might cause leaks, oh well, fix the leaks, it's 
better oil.

I don't think Bosch platinums are good.  Go with the triple electrode 
Bosch Supers, W7DTC for my car (and yours I think).

K&N?  Power increase is debatable, but it is a permanent replacement and 
supposedly doesn't need servicing as often, which is good given the 
location of the filter.  Maybe even filters better, because of the 
stickiness of the oil.  I run one.

What kind of tuneup parts?  Stick with factory Bosch.  Good stuff.

If the oil filter fit, then it's good OEM is good.  To save money, you can 
buy 10 packs from mail order sources.
