Ur-Q collectability
Gotta agree with my bro here. That's different, huh, Dave?
Collectability is relative, I think. Some people collect salt and
pepper shakers sold at Wall Drug. Paid $5 and 40 years from now it
will fetch $20. Point is, so what?
If you bought an Ur-Q and put it in storage, ran it enough to keep it
limber, but only put say, 20,000 miles on it 30 years, yeah, someone
will pay you a good price for it. But, if you look at the new
purchase price, and utilize the 7 / 10 rule [money at 7% doubles in 10
years, and vice versa], You just got bombed, if you stored it to make
money with.
So far as someone saying Ur-Q's are museum pieces, etc., so what?
There are also Ur-Q's that can be bought all day long for $3-4k. Save
for the Sport's or unique race-prepped cars, Audi has made many good
cars that require a shi*-load of maintanence to stay on the road. The
Ur-Q is one of those cars here in the US.
Oh, I do still want one:) But make mine a 20vt.
