The price differential may not be so great--depending on source. I just
bought a bypass (aka "cut-off") valve from Carlsen Audi (Linda) for $34
plus shipping (for '91 200q). My local Bosch guy quotes about $35 plus tax
and must order.

BTW, the second part # (...710A) is the Audi one.
