Re: Passat Syncro Info (I got it straight from the salesbrochure)
Hey Man,
The booklet is at home, so I'll bring it into the office when next I am
here. It could be a few days. Actually I may be able to send you the info
from home, not sure as home email is really screwey right now. Anyway, I am
99% sure it said that cause I read it twice when I saw it (looked strange
to me too). Apparently there will not (repeat NOT) be a GLX wagon. It is
not listed in the booklet, and GLX is not listed in the book as a wagon.
I know it will be available as an option on the GLSs (all of them).
Atleast this is what the book tells me. My dealer (Autohaus Lancaster in
PA) is VERY good at getting in the latest sales literature, if you cannot
wait and think my 1% of error is too much, check out the dub dealer, but I
am pretty sure I am correct.

Awlright George,
Talk to me.....
Are you sure it says STD syncro on GLS V6? Not the opposite? Doesn't seem
to make sense one bit. Remember, the syncro is only available with the V6
in Europe so far, but it's NOT the GLS package. Actually a step up from
the GLX. Of course there will be variation, but details my friend. I need
details!!!!!!

Hey All,
I was at the dealer this weekend, my sister is buying a Passat GLS V6. I
picked up the new Passat brochure, and looks identical to the old one, but
the first page is a profile of the GLX, that's how you know. Anyway, I was
reading up on the info on the new models (GLX, wagons, syncro etc).
Apparently Syncro will be standard on the GLS V6 wagon. It will be optional
on the GLS sedan and GLX sedan. All wagons I have seen to date are 1.8Ts
and that must be the reason as Syncro is not yet available. GLXs are
trickling through, my dealer has gotten one fwd so far, and I saw another
on the road.
The wagon is sweet. I drove a 1.8T Tiptronic while we were there, and for
the money, what a deal!
