I've been out of town, so I didn't see this.
89 200q = Dieter. Named after the infamous SNL character portrayed by
Michael Myers. Friends refer to my car as "Dieter". No, it doesn't do the
"Sprocket's Dance." :)
Other names past/present in the family.
97 Caddie Sedan D'Ville. (who cares if I spelled it wrong) (Dad's). Named:
"Mobie." As in the Whale.
86 Chevy Custom Van (traded in 1993): "Oprah the Electric Love Van." It
had this couch in the back that would fold down via an electric motor to a
bed. Hence the "Electric Love". It was named "Oprah" because of it's size
and attitude.
85 Toyota MR2: "Julio". Don't remember why, but it stuck. May have
something to do with it's go-cart like ride and fun loving nature.
91 VW Golf GL (bro's). Named Angela (when it was mine) after a certain
waitress in my home town. Bro shortened it to Angie. No, he doesn't know
where the name came from. :)
We have several cars in the family that haven't been owned long enough or
have enough personality to have earned a name yet.
