Most hydraulic hose supply houses carry the extra long screw type hose
clamps in ~4ft lengths for a few $$, these fit very nicely around the
intercooler...

Another issue that Scott J. (PDQSHP) mentioned years ago, is the problem
with the internal intercooler seal blowing out between the inlet and
outlet section. i.e. the air is not going through the intercooler. It is
a good idea to look inside the intercooler with a flashlight and check
out this seal if you remove the intercooler hoses while checking for
leaks.

The hydraulic supply houses also carry the heavy duty T-Bolt type
stainless steel hose clamps which work well if you have any custom
intercooler/turbo plumbing.
