Re: Help: changing a tire
Twain-
I was reviewing the manual for my new A6 last night (Audi owners are
lots of fun) and it specifically says not to do this. My guess is that
the lugs will work themselves off if they are lubed. I thought it odd
to that Audi stated this in the manual since I never thought about
lubing these but now I know why they spell it out!

When you change a tire, is it advisable to grease or
otherwise lube the bolts? Those suckers look so dry.
Also, how come that area gets so rusty? Why aren't
"rust-proof" products used?
Thanks
