Hi,
  One of the mechanics recommended by a lister couldn't do the work, but
said that I should call the regional Audi rep even though the car is out
of warranty because the problem of a crankshaft key breaking is so
unusual. He felt that the company should give me some consideration.
  Any experience with liberal regional reps out there? Any regional reps
out there who might agree?
