Re: VW caused El Nino??



I've driven behind one of these and the Jetta-there are many in my town
and have never seen the black ( a la Peugeot diesel) smoke. May have been
autos, but I thought that diesels nowadays are supposed to be much
cleaner.

Side note: the MB 300D, does it use converters of any tpye on the exhaust?
It's the only diesel approved in calif., right?
