Even a 2.5" mandrel bent system will help alot because the stock system is 
restricted in a couple spots.  The important thing is the downpipe 
though.  That has to be smooth.

Just to correct a crushing detail here, I only use mandrel bent tube for all 
bends on my exhaust systems.  I also only use a TIG welder for all the 
joints which is not your typical "Muffler Shop" fare.  About the only 
thing common with a Muffler shop is my 14" cutoff saw and my dirty 
floor.  :-)
