Re: springs again
Progresssive springs only seem to be tighter wrapped at one end if
they are mounted. The reason is that the springs are softer at one
end, harder on the other. This gives you a softer ride at low
suspension travel, but gets stiffer as the shock moves in. The reason
the springs are wrapped tighter at one end when mounted is that the
softer side compresses more at a given load.
