Did my own local yards round last Friday. No new Audis that could yield any
further useful parts for now, but I did manage to get an unused spacesaver
spare tyre for Dfl 35 ($18) and an OE leather steering wheel in perfect
shape for the same amount. Now I can at least take the spare out without
deflating the tyre (which somewhat defeats the purpose...) and there's a
little bit more luggage space left. I also picked up a couple of orange
posts for the floor mats and a coat hook, all missing from my car, which
the yard owner threw in for free.
When changing your full-size spare for a spacesaver, remember to get the
plastic screw-in wheel holder from the spacesaver as well. The threads on
that one are different from those for the full-size wheel, resulting in
your spare being loose in its mountings.
BTW, the spare's outer diameter almost perfectly matches my current wheels'.
